Prince William, now the Duke of Cambridge is now officially married to his beloved Catherine, now Duchess of Cambridge. Months of preparations all leading to this day.
Shortly before, the newly-weds appeared on the balcony of the Buckingham Palace and shared not one, but two kisses, which is quite surprising since according to the protocol the couple is to share one kiss only.
Thousands of people gathered to witness the wedding, even from afar, and later followed the couple to Buckingham Palace, for their first public kiss as man &wife. It is thought that more than 4 billion people watched the marriage on the TV, let alone those who watched it on live stream online.
This seems to bring a new aura of change and excitement to the UK, as Britons see their young Prince, turn into a married man and potentially their soon-to-be King.
